An Interview with Stephen Holmes (part 2)

In this segment Stephen Holmes and Dale Tuggy talk about the personhood or personality of the Holy Trinity. This was a fun interview for me to listen to. Holmes is clearly uncomfortable with the language of personhood by which to speak of the divine hypostases. Tuggy, on the other hand, keeps pushing him on this, as he wants him to agree that God is one self. Holmes doesn’t want to agree to this either. I know that some will think that Holmes is evading the “obvious”; but in truth he is simply being faithful to the apophatic-trinitarian tradition.
